I am Australia's most widely published independent motorcycle writer. My work appears regularly in major magazines in Australia, New Zealand, the U.K., U.S. and Europe.
My writing covers all aspects of the industry, with an emphasis on lifestyle, touring and motorcycling history.
Among my regular work in Australia is a lifestyle column, called Old School, in Australian Motor Cycle News. I work with leading photographer Phil Aynsley to provide a regular feature in Motorcycle Trader, called The Bike Detectives. We uncover unusual motorcycles and the often amazing untold stories behind them.
I also compile a two-page news/trends/lifestyle digest for Sydney-based bi-monthly magazine Free Wheeling called Behind Bars.
My experience is built on 25 years of attending motorcycle events and industry launches. This has involved riding motorcycles in the US, Europe, New Zealand, northern and southern Africa. It has also involved riding on racetracks in various countries.
I have had a long-term hands-on involvement in motorcycle restoration, with several of my workshop projects featuring in international motorcycle magazines.
While I specialise in motorcycle writing, I have experience in mainstream newspaper production dating back to 1975. This has involved editing newspaper lift-outs and magazines, and running groups of sub-editors in deadline-critical production.
This experience could be applied to clients looking for assistance in compiling/editing/rewriting tasks.
