Susannah is a freelance journalist, online writer/blogger with SEO experience, copywriter and a qualified birth doula (childbirth coach). She is currently editing her memoirs, which cover her survival despite two major traumatic events in her life - her mother's attempt to kill her as a child and being groomed on the internet for 12 years.
Susannah has spent the last 5 years teaching herself the skills required to build websites, write posts that go viral and write on topics that generate ongoing traffic. In 2013, Susannah spoke at the Walkley Foundation's Storyology about writing on the internet. In 2014 she spoke at both the USQ Bookcase and the Toowoomba Writers' Festival on the same topic. Overwhelming feedback says she is good at presenting difficult concepts simply and in a way that encourages people to take action.
She's got an opinion on a lot of topics but she's especially passionate about medical and birth negligence, child abuse, domestic violence and the impact of childhood trauma into adulthood. Sometimes, she likes to write about happier and lighter topics too! She’s particularly addicted to writing how-to, guide, list, opinion and product review articles.
She also has an avid interest in marketing and has recently started a job in the medical marketing sector.
