Victoria Murphy has more than a decade of experience in journalism, most recently finishing up at Network Ten after 8 years as a national News and Sport Presenter.
Before moving to Sydney for work, Murphy studied a Bachelor of Communications on the Gold Coast where she gained experience at Nine Gold Coast News, Prime and Win TV stations, as well as reading the news on local community radio station Radio Metro.
Her first job in Sydney was as a breakfast newsreader at 2SM. She spent 6 months there before being snapped up by Channel Ten to work on the hugely popular Sports Tonight.
Victoria enjoyed 8 years of success at channel 10. Starting out as a reporter she was quickly elevated to presenter and hosted several national shows and bulletins. In June this year she decided to take voluntary redundancy and go out alone.
She grew up in Victoria on the Great Ocean Road where she graduated from Sacred Heart College in 1999. She’s now based in Bondi Beach.
Murphy now freelances as a writer/presenter in the News, Sport and Lifestyle genres. Her passions outside of news are travel and food and wine. She has travelled the world several times and will continue to explore the globe and enjoys experimenting with local cuisines.
A former champion equestrian rider Victoria loves adventure and the outdoors. Healthy living is a big part of her life.
