Jonathan Jackson is an experienced editor and writer who has worked in print and digital media for almost 20 years. His passion for writing developed early and as a pre-teen he was writing fantasy fiction, which to his mind was fantastic.

Jonathan followed through on his goal to be a writer and began his journalism career in 1996 with one of Australia’s leading lifestyle publishers Blitz Publications.

He graduated from journalist to editor, taking charge of Soccer International and Australian Ironman. He later took the position of managing editor, which he held for six years overseeing six editors and 10 titles including Women’s Fitness & Health and Golf Magazine.

Working within a sports publishing organisation provided perfect symmetry with his role as trainer at St.Kilda Football Club.

Seeking a change and a break from the egos of bodybuilders, Jonathan marched into business and finance journalism and has edited titles including Wealth Creator, Your Trading Edge, Think & Grow Rich and Business First magazines. He also runs his own share trading website executivetrader.com.au.

Jonathan has written two books: Offside - The Wild Side of Soccer and Australia's Wealth Creators and edited Show Mummy the Money.

Jonathan believes the best writing is a strong mix of entertainment, well-researched information and expert voices. It is also a matter of understanding brand and how to best communicate brand values to a specific audience.

With almost 20 years experience, Jonathan has the experience to write on any topic and convey complex ideas as well informed and very readable content.

Jonathan has joined Newsmodo because he believes in the concept. It is an organisation run by journalists and media professionals who have a strong understanding of what it means to provide exceptional content for any medium. And that is a powerful tool.
