Influencer marketing. What does it mean?


Not all influencers are created equal. Whilst one ‘influencer’ may have millions of followers… if your brand doesn’t speak to that audience, then that person’s position of authority is basically meaningless… it’s the alignment of the influencer to the industry that is the key.

If we look at Google trends, the term ‘Influencer marketing’ has increased 10 fold from Jan 2015 to Jan 2017. The reason this has continually grown in popularity is due to the efficiency in pinpointing your target market, and when executed well, it can be a great strategy for brand positioning and identity.
