I’ve lived in Melbourne most of my life, so I love football, great coffee and long winters.
After a holiday turned to full-time study in California, I returned to Australia and started a career in TV news reporting. Over a period of a decade, I covered international breaking news and countless cats up trees before realising the industry was changing and I wanted to adapt with it.
In 2011 I developed an App for monetising news content, which ultimately was the genesis for founding Newsmodo.
I started out in the communications industry 21 years ago (before email) and have seen it change from a world of ’30-second spots’ to a fragmented and changing landscape filled with opportunity (and with email). I’ve been around the traps – with stints at Seven, Val Morgan and most recently MCN (Foxtel & Ten). My first gig in the industry was as a Triple M Thunder pilot, tasked with handing out free cans of Coke.
When I’m not cycling at 6am, I’m busy being a father of two, a frustrated artist and a student of history. I’m also known to eat out way too much but hey, who cares.
Content Editor & Project Manager – Brands
I am passionate about compelling storytelling, news, writing and love helping writers bring their work to life. When not hard at work you will likely find me barracking for the mighty Richmond Tigers, curled up reading a quality novel or out and about exploring all marvellous Melbourne has to offer.
